Tyrant is an independent fan project. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

In short

  • We keep your Discord name, avatar and email, and what you add to Tyrant.
  • We use it to run your account, your alliance and the Discord bot. We never sell it.
  • You can delete your account on your profile at any time. It goes at once.

Who we are

Tyrant is run by the Tyrant team, an independent fan project for Kingshot players. We decide what Tyrant collects and how it is used, as this page sets out.

What we collect

When you sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and the email address on your Discord account. Our sign-in system also records the IP address and browser of each sign-in, to keep accounts safe. We ask Discord for nothing else, and we never ask for your game login.

On your profile: your home kingdom, the language you want Discord posts in, and your time zone, if you add them.

In an alliance: your rank, when you joined, and what you do there: polls you start, your votes, and Bear Trap times you set. The alliance keeps a log of these actions.

On the alliance map: the layouts the R5 and R4s draw, and which governor's city sits where. Each layout keeps earlier versions, with who saved them and when. Your browser remembers the map layers you picked.

In KvK plans: the teams the R5 and R4s make, which governor leads or joins each one, and where the teams stand. A plan also holds the heroes and troops each garrison sends, and the times on the battle-day timeline. An officer can note a governor's Mystic Trial stage. Each plan keeps earlier versions, with who saved them and when.

When you register a governor, with /register in a Discord server or on your profile, we keep its name, kingdom and alliance. If you give them, we also keep its player ID, Truegold or Town Center level, power and troop level. We store it with your Discord user ID and the name you show in Discord, even if you have no Tyrant account. You type these details yourself. Tyrant never reads them from the game, and does not check that a player ID is yours.

When you fill in a governor's build: its heroes with their level and stars, and its pets with their level. Also its governor gear, with each piece's tier and charms, and when you last saved it.

When an alliance connects its Discord server: the server's ID and name, and the IDs and names of the channels and roles its R5 picks. Votes, polls and Bear Trap times set in that server are stored with your Discord user ID and the name you show there. This happens even if you have no Tyrant account. The bot does not read messages, member lists or who is online, and it never sends direct messages.

When you open the page of an alliance you are not in, and it has connected its Discord server, we ask Discord about you. Discord tells us whether you are in that server and which roles you have there. We use that only to tell you whether you can join the alliance from Discord, and we do not keep it. When you use /register, Discord sends us the same, for the same use.

In a Flamedragon Tyrant room: each player's in-game name, alliance tag, power, Truegold level, Mystic Trial total and troop level. The room also keeps each player's level in it, the roles they sign up for, their seats, and where their city stands. A player joins from the room's link with their own governor's details, or types them as a guest. An editor can also add a player by hand.

When you send a screenshot of a pack or a KvK result, we keep the picture. We also keep what Tyrant read from it and what you checked and saved. For a pack, that is its name, items, price, purchase limit and how often it comes back. It is also the account you picked, its kingdom with the kingdom's day and stage, and the account's Town Center or Truegold level. For a KvK result, it is the battle day, the two kingdoms and who won each phase.

Your avatar loads from Discord, the same way it does in Discord itself, so Discord sees that request.

You choose the name and picture other players see on Tyrant: your Discord name or one you pick, and your Discord picture or none. Your Discord name and avatar stay with your account either way, and only you see them in your settings.

When you write to us with Contact us: what it is about, your message and how to reply. If you are signed in, we also keep which account wrote it.

On every visit, our host Vercel keeps short-lived server logs, as hosts of any website do. They include your IP address and browser.

Why we collect it

To run your account once you sign in, and to run your alliance's polls, Bear Trap times and reminders on the website and in Discord.

We need the data to provide the service you signed up for. We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing from other companies.

Who can see it

Members of your alliance can see its polls and who voted for what, in Discord and on the website. Each poll card says so. They can also see its Bear Trap times and its activity log.

A Flamedragon Tyrant room is seen only by the players in it, from any alliance. Its editors and viewers see every player's details and roles. Volunteers see the roles and their own seats. Anyone with one of the room's links can join it, so share them with care.

An alliance's R5 and R4s see the governors on its roster. For each, they see the Discord name of whoever registered it, and whether they have a Tyrant account. You see your own governors on your profile. The alliance's activity log tells its members when someone registers, moves or deletes a governor, without the governor's details.

A governor's build is seen by you and by the R5 and R4s of the alliance whose roster it is on. They see it on the roster and in their KvK plans. Other members, and other alliances a KvK plan is shared with, never see it. Only you can change it.

Members of an alliance see its map. It shows the name, level, power and troop level of each governor on its roster, and where their city is planned. The map does not show Discord names or player IDs. In the alliance's Discord server, /map shows you your own governors' cities, only to you unless you share it.

A KvK plan is shared by the alliance that opens it with other alliances of the same kingdom. Every member of those alliances sees the plan. On its roster, they see the name, level, power and troop level of each of their governors. They never see Discord names or player IDs.

The battle day of each KvK plan and each reported KvK result shows on the kingdom's public timeline and calendar. So does how many plans and reports there are for that day, so everyone in the kingdom can see when KvK comes. Nothing else in a plan is public.

Your screenshots are private: only you can see them. A pack you save shows on the public pack list with its stage and when it was seen. It never shows your name, your kingdom or your screenshot. A KvK result or a KvK opponent you report shows on both kingdoms' public pages with how many players reported it, never who.

In an alliance's Discord server, /kvk shows you your own job in the alliance's next KvK plan, only to you unless you share it. On battle day, the bot posts each pet and note in the alliance's reminder channel at its time. It mentions the Discord account that registered the governor it is for. The plan's officers can turn this off.

Kingdom pages show the game's public Mystic Trial boards: each top player's in-game name and score. Tyrant keeps only those, never a player ID, and reads them again at most twice a day.

We never give data from Discord to advertisers or analytics services.

Where it is kept

Our database runs on Supabase in the United States (US East). Supabase's data processing terms include the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses. They protect data sent from the EU, the UK and Switzerland. The website runs on Vercel.

Tyrant reads your screenshots on your own device. The picture is not sent anywhere to be read: only the copy you keep goes to your private folder in our database.

How long we keep it

Account details are kept until you delete your account. Vercel's server logs are deleted automatically after a short time.

A poll with no closing time closes after 30 days. Polls and their votes are deleted 180 days after they close. An alliance's activity log is deleted after a year, and records of sent reminders after 7 days. A map layout and a KvK plan each keep their 30 most recent versions. When an alliance is deleted, everything in it goes with it, including the KvK plans it opened.

When you delete your account, your Discord ID and name are removed from polls, votes and activity logs. Your governors are deleted. Your votes still count, under an anonymous "Former member", so results do not change. If you leave an alliance, your past votes stay in its polls.

A governor is kept until you delete it, with /unregister in Discord or on your profile. Its build goes with it. A governor on no roster, registered by someone with no Tyrant account, is deleted after 180 days without a change.

A Flamedragon Tyrant room is kept until its owner deletes it. A player who leaves a room, or is removed from it, takes their place and details with them. When the owner deletes their account, the room passes to another player in it with an account, or is deleted.

Messages sent with Contact us are deleted a year after they were sent.

Screenshots are kept until you delete your account, then deleted with it. Packs you saved stay on the pack list with nothing that links them to you. Your KvK reports are deleted, so a result or an opponent only you reported goes too.

Cookies and your browser

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep you signed in, and two more that need no account. The first is the kingdom you pick, so every page opens on it (tyrant-kingdom, kept a year). The second brings a guest back to their place in a Flamedragon Tyrant room. There is one per room, kept 180 days and read only by our server.

After some actions, such as leaving an alliance, a note lets the next page confirm it (tyrant-notice, kept a minute).

Your browser also keeps the look you picked, and the public dates of the kingdom in the header, so it shows them at once. While you are signed in, it also keeps your name, avatar and home kingdom for the header. Signing out removes those account details.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies today. If that changes, this page will say so first, and you will be asked before any are set.

Age

Tyrant is for people aged 13 and over who are old enough to use Discord where they live. If you are younger, please do not sign up or register a governor.

Your choices

You can delete your account yourself at any time: open your profile and choose Delete my account. It is deleted at once.

You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data. Write to us with Contact us.

If you live in the EU or the UK and think we handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
